At the recent Christmas in July function held at the Mansfield Community Education Centre students from the Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cooking) did a wonderful job catering for the evening. The food was delicious and the students got first hand experience in food preparation for a real function.

Meet The Board - Ross Martin

MACE could not function without a dedicated Board of Management and Staff. Over the next few months you will be getting to know a little bit more about the people who make MACE the place it is today. The first Board member you are going to find a little more about is Ross Martin

When did you join the MACE Board? 


What are the main tasks you perform?

 I am the board representative for UNI4U MACE and Swinburne University program, I also sit on the Governance committee of MACE

What attracted you to being a Board Member?

I am a qualified TAFE Teacher and a retired bureaucrat having been an Executive Director Vocational education and also involved with international students and articulation arrangements with universities, when I retired I thought it was time to put something back

What are the best aspects of being on the Board?

Being able to contribute to the strategic intent of MACE and also help in any way deemed appropriate

What keeps you busy outside of the Board?

I am a committee member for “Cafe Connect” a council run facility for the youth of Mansfield, I am Community Visitor for the Public Advocate Office, Meals on Wheels, Probus Club, Walking the 2 dogs

What do you hope to be doing in ten years’ time?

The same hopefully
